Hi there!

There's a new retrolicious shop in the world called Zowee's! And this weekend was the opening of the shop. Of course I was there, armed with my camera on the left side and my sister on the right. There was champagne, little cupcakes, retro hairdressers and of course a lot of clothes.

The story

Zowee's retrolicious clothing store is a one of a kind store centered in the city Turnhout (Belgium). This store takes you to the fantastic periods of Rock 'n Roll, Petticoats, and Pin-up from the late thirties to the early sixties. Not only can you find colorful dresses in the shop, you can also find different accessories: from shoes and purses till hair-accessories. 

Who?

They call her Zoë, she founded Zowee's retrolicious clothing store. An optimistic and headstrong person with a grand love for fashion from the Rockabilly period.

Hoi hoi!

Er is een nieuwe retrolicious winkel in de wereld genaamd Zowee's! En dit weekend was het de opening voor de winkel. Natuurlijk was ik daar, gewapend met mijn camera aan mijn linker zijde en mijn zus aan de rechter zijde. Er was champagne, kleine cupcakes, retro kapsters en natuurlijk héél veel kleren.

Het verhaal
Zowee's retrolicious clothing store is een unieke winkel midden in de stad Turnhout gecentreerd. Deze winkel neemt je mee naar de fantastische periode van Rock 'n Roll, Petticoats en Pin-up van de late jaren '30 tot de vroege jaren '60. Je kan er niet alleen kleurrijke jurken vinden maar ook verschillende accessoires: van schoenen en handtassen tot haaraccessoires.

Wie?
Ze heet Zoë en richtte de zaak zopas op. Een optimistische en eigenzinnige persoon met een grote liefde voor fashion van de Rockabilly periode.

Griet Mertens // Can we be part of the plan

Hallo daar!

Dit weekend was ik één van de modellen die mee liepen in de KASK Gent eindejaar show. Ik showde de creatie van master student Griet Mertens.

Can we be part of the plan

Mogen we een robot zijn?

Mogen we meer zijn?

Mogen we een wil hebben?

Mogen we voelen?

Mogen we verliefd worden?

Mogen we religieus zijn?

Mogen ook wij deel uitmaken van het grote plan?

Zowel backstage als op het podium hadden we veel plezier beleefd. The kleren waren echt héél mooi gemaakt met zorg en liefde. Ik wil graag Griet bedanken en haar veel succes wensen in haar verdere carrière!

PS: Diegene met de korte bruine rok, fluo geel hemdje en wit vestje, dat ben ik! Met de maskertjes en de kartonnen haarstukjes ben ik bijna onherkenbaar.

This weekend I was one of the models in the KASK Ghent graduation show. I showed the creation of master student designer Griet Mertens.

Can we be part of the plan

Can we fall in love?
May we be religious?
May we be part of the big plan?

We had lot's of fun backstage and on stage. The clothes were so beautiful made with care and love. I want to thank Griet and wish her good luck with her further carrier!

Hi there my sweet little strangers!

Yesterday evening I had so much fun on my very FIRST fashion/store event! I am talking about the ELLE Style & River Island Night in Antwerp. With some friends of mine we've enjoyed the fashion shows, style advice from a pro, summer trends, fellow bloggers ... and that all together with a delicious cocktail in our hand! 

We also saw some cool people with pretty and creative outfits. Some of them won a year subscription on ELLE magazine!

It was an amazing experience for me, the girl from the countryside. Although my pictures aren't that good (because my camera was working against me for a while).
