A few weeks ago, a student of photography asked me if I wanted to contribute with her street style project. This project is not just outfit photos taken with a digital camera like everybody does. She goes old school style with an analog camera. And now these days I am totally addicted to analog photos, so of course I sad yes!

Hoi hoi !

Een paar weken geleden vroeg een studente fotografie aan me of ik wilde mee werken aan een "street style" project van haar. Dit project is zijn niet zomaar digitale foto's zoals alle andere outfit foto's. Ze gaat de "old school" weg op en maakt de foto's met een analoog camera. En moet het nu lukken dat ik de laatste maanden echt verslaafd ben aan analoge foto's. Ik vind ze zo puur. Dus natuurlijk zei ik ja !  

Heb ik je nieuwsgierig gemaakt en wil je graag meer zien van haar werk? Twijfel dan niet langer meer en bezoek haar online  foto album en ontdek alle verschillende "street styles" die zij al gefotografeerd heeft!

Kom op, steek je tong uit tegen kanker

Zo dus bij deze, steek ik mijn tong uit tegen kanker!

Hoi hoi!

Voor wie het nog niet wist, de jaarlijkse campagne van Kom op tegen Kanker is vrijdag 22 februari weer van start gegaan. Dit keer met wel een zeer origineel statement: "Kom op, steek je tong uit tegen kanker". De campagne staat in het teken van kanker bij kinderen en meer bepaald de late gevolgen van de ziekte bij die patiëntjes. Het is een oproep naar Vlaanderen om massaal de tong uit te steken tegen kanker. Ze krijgt haar hoogtepunt tijdens de liveshow op Eén op 16 maart.

Steek dus je tong uit, maak er een foto van, post deze samen met je motivatie op de site van Kom op tegen Kanker en maak een donatie over.

Hi there!

Last week I went with a friend (also a Charlotte)to Antwerp. We visited the Fashion Museum (MoMU). There's an exposition of Madame Grès, the Parisian couturier (1903 - 1993). I will write about her & her exposition in the next post. 

After our museum visit, we went for a sushi lunch at Sushi shop. A Sushi restaurant near by the Fashion Museum in Antwerp. Oh, that was just heaven on a plate! 

And of course, we went walking around to find a place to make some outfit photos. Like we always do when we're hanging out. We made the pictures inside a shopping mall in the main shopping street of Antwerp. Because it was wet and dark outside. There was a BIG cozy Christmas tree in the mall, so we thought it would be funny to take our pictures there. Because, who doesn't love Christmas? 

We end our day with, of course, a hot cup of Starbucks. With a snowman on our cup! To get in the Christmas atmosphere. And it worked!

Hoi hoi!

Vorige week ben ik met een vriendin (ook een Charlotte) naar Antwerpen gegaan. Om het Mode Museum (MoMu) te bezoeken. Daar loopt nu een expositie van Madame Grès, de Parijse couturier (1903 - 1993). Ik zal in de volgende post meer over haar & haar expositie vertellen.

Na ons bezoek aan het museum zijn we sushi gaan eten als lunch bij Sushi shop. Een Sushi restaurant dicht bij het Mode Museum in Antwerpen. Oh, dat was echt hemel op een bord! 

En natuurlijk, hebben we wat rondgewandeld om een leuke plek te zoeken voor outfit foto's. Zoals we altijd doen als we samen op stap zijn. We hebben uiteindelijk de foto's binnenin de stadsfeestzaal gemaakt, aan de Meir. Omdat het buiten nat en donker was. Er was een GROTE gezellige Kerstboom aanwezig in de stadsfeestzaal, dus dachten we dat het wel leuk zou zijn om daar onze foto's te maken. Want zeg nu zelf, wie houdt er nu niet van Kerstmis? 

We eindigden onze dag met, natuurlijk, een kop hete Starbucks. Met een sneeuwman op onze kop! Om helemaal in de sfeer van Kerstmis te komen. En het werkte!

Hi there!

As you al can see, my pink flamingo that I've ordered has finally arrived at home! You must think that I'm crazy (and actually that is correct). I'm so happy with my new friend! I will call her, Georgette. 

And Georgette is a really party-animal. This weekend, I had held a small surprise High Tea party for one of my best friends. We zipped some high tea, collected some extra winter pounds with chocolate cake & told each other the juiciest gossips of the moment. It was the perfect sunday afternoon!

Hoi hoi!

Zoals jullie al kunnen zien, is mijn roze flamingo die ik had besteld e i n d e l i j k thuis aangekomen! Waarschijnlijk denken jullie allemaal dat ik gek ben (wat eigenlijk dus ook wel is). Ik ben zo blij met mijn nieuwe vriend! Ik noem haar, Georgette. 

En Georgette is een echt feestbeest. Dit weekend had ik een klein "High Tea" verrassingsfeestje georganiseerd voor één van mijn beste vrienden. We dronken thee, kwamen vijf kilo aan van de chocolade cake & vertelden elkaar de sappigste roddels van het moment. Het was dé perfecte zondag namiddag!

Hi there!

So it's getting pretty cold here in tiny little Belgium land. Time for my cozy coat! For me, it's always hard to find an outfit on colds days. Because outside is it really really cold but when you go in to a home or classroom, it's almost always really warm. My coat is the perfect solution for that! I just can were a T-shirt or blouse inside and when I go outside I just put on my wooly coat! 

Today I went for a "al in" jeans outfit. I really LOVE jeans. It's a such a cool thing. I wear this skinny jeans at least two times a week. The necklace is a new addition since last week. I got it by Lily. And ofcourse you all know my Theit Bossi Bag by Pilgerbags. I always carry it with me. No other bag could replace it. Accept for a Chanel-one, anybody feel like to give me a present? 

Last but not least, the Arizona Tea... Oh. My. God. ADDICTED. It's a product from America. I already know it for a couple of years but since last year it's getting really popular in Belgium. 

I drink one bottle a day, EVERY DAY. It's sooo good. And I think the bottles are really pretty too. So I never trow them away. I wash them and put flowers or candles in them.

Food // Home made chocolate dipped bananas with sprinkles

Ladies and gentlemen ! 

I've got the perfect movie snack for you ! It's easy to make and not expensive at all: chocolate dipped bananas with sprinkles, for your happiness !

INGREDIENTS:

- bananas

- sprinkles 

- dark chocolate 

GET STARTED:

- slice the bananas 

- melt the chocolate

- dip the slices in the melted chocolate 

- dip them in the sprinkles 

- put them in the fridge for an hour or two to 

And tadaaa, enjoy your home made movie snack !

This week I went with my class to Gent, to see some culture and to see the exposition of Pieter De Bruyne at the Design Museum. I will tell you more about this day very soon! But first, what was I wearing? It's getting grey, it's getting colder... it's CARDIGAN TIME!!!

So the cardigan was a gift from a good friend of mine. The hat is vintage, used the be the hat of my grandfather so it's really old. The boots are new, they have no label. You know, labels aren't so important to me. They can be very beautiful but labels can be so U G L Y. I'm sorry, that's how I feel about it. But this boots are quality boots, real leather and all! And the yellow bird is the "cherry" on top.  Otherwise would I look like a depressing black person. So, what do you think of this look?

I'm going to keep it short, I've not much to say accept for that I'am going crazy. Why? Well, I'm at the North Sea Cost with my parents and family, we have a little Apartment in Koksijde.

BUT, I have to study for my exams... so from time to time I go to the beach to clear my mind a bit. And it really works!

Momenteel ben ik  met de ene hand de vakantiefoto's die we tot nu toe al hebben allemaal aan het bekijken en aan het bewerken terwijl ik in mijn andere hand een frisse Desperados heb. En dat allemaal bevind zich nog eens plaats onder het afdakje van het "poolhouse" aan het zwembad hier in Lutopie, Zuid-Frankrijk.

Ik kan jullie nog niet alle foto's laten zien want dat is zeer veel werk maar wat ik al wel kan/ wil doen zijn de foto's van ons dagje in het stadje Orange online zetten. Het was een geweldige dag! Veel zon, zeer warm, niet té veel volk & prachtige architectuur! Een dagje om U tegen te zeggen dus. Orange, zeker een aanrader! En dan zou ik ook zeker het Theater van Orange bezoeken. Zeer indrukwekkend en toch rustgevend. Wat ook echt de moeite is: de Franse keuken! Altijd vers en met véél olie. Heerlijk!

Hi there

At the moment I am editing with one hand holiday photo's and with the other hand I'm drinking some refreshing Desperados. And all that is located under the roof of the "pool house" at the here in Lutopie, Southern France.

I can't show you all the pictures yet but I can show you some pictures we took on the trip in Orange. That was a great day! Lots of sun, very hot not too many people & some beautiful architecture! Orange is definitely worth a visit! And certainly the Theatre of Orange. Very impressive and yet relaxing. And do not forget the French kitchen, JUM! Always fresh and with lots of oil. Delicious!

En wat ik zoal heb gezeten? Wel, vorige vrijdag was mijn eerste festivalletje. Samen met nog een vriendin zijn we naar Wallonië (Luik) getrokken om een dagje Les Ardentes bij te wonen. Het weer was super! En de mensen daar ook, geen luidruchtige aandachttrekkende tieners maar gewoon mensen die zich "chill" willen amuseren! 

Het eerste optreden was van de groep Far East movement. En ik moet zeggen, het was een zéér geslaagd optreden! Ik kende namelijk maar één nummer van hen: Like a G6. Maar Ruth en ik hebben ons super geamuseerd. Later op de avond hebben we alles gegeven op muziek van The Magican & hebben we even een glimp opgevangen van Marilyn Manson. Niet echt onze stijl van muziek en man maar dat hebben we dan ook weer gezien! 

Tussendoor hebben we wat junkfood gegeten, wat zeker een must-do is op dergelijk festival als deze!

So, what have I been up to? Well, last Friday was my very first festival of the year. My friend Ruth and I went to Wallonia (Liège) for a day to attend the Les Ardentes Festival. Th weather was great & the people there too! No noisy teenagers but simply chill people who wants some fun!

The first gig was for the group Far East movement. And I must say, it was a very successful show! I only knew one number of them: Like a G6. But Ruth and I really liked the other songs too! Later that evening we danced on the music from The Magican & we took a glimpse of Marilyn Manson. Not really our style of music and man but hey, always fun to see.

Get ready for my next post, it's about my vacation (that I'm having right know) in Southern France!
