A few weeks ago, a student of photography asked me if I wanted to contribute with her street style project. This project is not just outfit photos taken with a digital camera like everybody does. She goes old school style with an analog camera. And now these days I am totally addicted to analog photos, so of course I sad yes!

Backstage the photoshoot.

Hoi hoi !

Een paar weken geleden vroeg een studente fotografie aan me of ik wilde mee werken aan een "street style" project van haar. Dit project is zijn niet zomaar digitale foto's zoals alle andere outfit foto's. Ze gaat de "old school" weg op en maakt de foto's met een analoog camera. En moet het nu lukken dat ik de laatste maanden echt verslaafd ben aan analoge foto's. Ik vind ze zo puur. Dus natuurlijk zei ik ja !  

Heb ik je nieuwsgierig gemaakt en wil je graag meer zien van haar werk? Twijfel dan niet langer meer en bezoek haar online  foto album en ontdek alle verschillende "street styles" die zij al gefotografeerd heeft!

Hi there!

Some of you know that I am/was a model. But not fulltime, I have chosen for my studies... But the greatest thing of doing model jobs is the make-up. I just LOVEEE it when MUA artists do my make-up. I always close my eyes and have to do my very best for not falling asleep. It's soooo relaxing, those brushes on your face... mmm wonderful! 

Now, some of the MUA artists make photos of their result. Well, one artist in specific makes the coolest result photos ever! And she did so many different looks on me. It's like I'm a cameleon, haha. So I thought, this I just have to share with you guys. 

Her name is Nanja Massy, owner of M a s s y Creations. and co-owner of the fashion blog Suriel. One of my favorite blogs of the moment. She also holds MUA workshops together with her partner in crime blogger & MUA artist Liene Meneve (Vizien). I definitely going to follow one of those! Who's with me?

Hoi hoi!

Sommigen onder jullie weten waarschijnlijk wel dat ik een model ben/was. Maar niet voltijds, ik heb voor mijn studies gekozen... MAAR het leukste aan modellenwerk is de make-up. Ik HOU er echt van als MUA artiesten mijn make-up doen. Ik houd bijna altijd mijn ogen gesloten en moet heel hard mijn best doen om niet in slaap te vallen, die borsteltjes op mijn gezicht...mmm heerlijk!

Nu, sommigen MUA artiesten maken achteraf foto's van hun eindresultaat. Wel, één artiest in het bijzonder maakt de coolste eindresultaatfoto's ooit! En ze heeft al zoveel verschillende looks op mij gedaan. Het lijkt wel alsof ik een kameleon ben, haha. Dus ik dacht, dit moet ik gewoon met jullie delen.

Haar naam is Nanja Massy, eigenaar van M a s s y Creations. en mede-eigenaar van de fashion blog Suriel. Eén van mijn favoriete blogs op het moment. Ze houdt ook MUA workshops samen met haar partner in crime blogger & MUA artieste Liene Meneve (Vizien). Ik ga zeker eens zo een workshop volgen. Wie doet er nog met me mee?

Hi there my sweet little strangers

I'm going to keep it short, I've not much to say accept for that I'am going crazy. Why? Well, I'm at the North Sea Cost with my parents and family, we have a little Apartment in Koksijde.

BUT, I have to study for my exams... so from time to time I go to the beach to clear my mind a bit. And it really works!

Hi there!

It is since last Thursday officially SUMMER! Only... the weather isn't exactly like summer. But today it came close to the higher temperatures and bright sunshine.

So I went with my sister for lunch into the park of Mechelen. It was quite nice and sunny. After that we went to the hairdresser for my sister's hair. She has done the same thing as me six months ago. Didn't remember? Come and read my hair-story here!

Today, I was wearing my old all stars again after a long long time. I think that I already have them more than 4 years ago and they are still alive and kicking! They are already a bit bleached of color, originally they were dark blue. But I think the shoes are really cool this way. It matches my pretty pink jeans, don't you think?

Hoi hoi!

Sinds vorige donderdag is het officieel ZOMER! Alleen... het weer is niet echt zoals zomer. Maar vandaag kwam het toch al wat meer in de buurt met hogere temperaturen en stralende zon.

Dus ik ben met mijn zus gaan lunchen in het park van Mechelen. Het was eigenlijk heel leuk en zonnig. Erna zijn we naar de kapper gegaan voor mijn zus. Ze heeft het zelfde gedaan zoals ik zo'n 6 maanden geleden. Herinner je het je niet meer? Kom en lees mijn haar-verhaal hier!

Vandaag heb ik mijn oude all stars nog eens boven gehaald. Ik denk dat ik ze al meer als 4 jaar heb en ze zijn nog steeds niet kapot! Ze zijn al wel wat gebleekt van kleur, oorspronkelijk waren ze donkerblauw. Maar ik vind ze zo eigenlijk wel leuker! Ze passen bij mijn mooie roze jeans, vind je niet?

Oh yes yes, this old gail is since yesterday officially TWENTY-ONE. I must tell you (because I am such a baby in everything),  first I did not like the number. Why not? Well, remember when you were little and you look up to the older people than is becoming sixteen heaven, when you are eighteen you enter the "big" world and at the age of twenty-one you have a boyfriend, a car, a good job and lot's of money. This I all thought when I was like eight years old I think. See the problem? Haha, but hey, on closer inspection, I can't complain!

So yesterday was a really fun day for me:

- no school

- bright sun, blue sky

- day-trip to Leuven

- healthy cheap lunch

- walking in the park

- drinking some refreshing Belgian beer on the terrace in the sunlight

- some longboarding

- swimming in the pool

- some relaxing time in the steam cabin

- drinks at my place with some close friends

Modeling // Backstage photoshoot "Waterfrogs and Waterfairies"

Hee ! 

Vorige zondagochtend-middag had ik een geweldige shoot met de jonge fotografe: Leentje Schoofs. De schoot vond plaats in een bos in Wilsele (Leuven). De bedoeling was dat ik omgetoverd werd in een waternimf en dus ook het water in ging. Dat was niet zonder gevaren natuurlijk!

De moment dat ik in het water ging brulde en protesteerde de plaatselijke kikkers erop los. Het grappige was dat je ze niet kon zien en alleen maar kon horen. De 2de locatie was net hetzelfde. Als we klaar waren en terug op weg naar de auto zagen we die kikkers, ze waren groot en met veel!

Die dag had ik ontzettend veel plezier met Leentje Schoofs (fotografe), Michelle Didden (make-up artiest) en Mitte De Wolf (assistente). Ben benieuwd naar het resultaat! Hieronder zie je alvast een paar backstage foto's gemaakt door Mitte De Wolf.
